Dear Colleagues,
We regret to inform you that due to the pandemic the GTOT board is forced to cancel the Turkologentag in Mainz. It was our hope to welcome you at Mainz University by postponing the conference to 2021. However, the current conditions make it impossible to plan large events with hundreds of participants in the coming year.
The next Turkologentag is scheduled for 2023 and will be hosted by the University of Vienna. At present, we are confident that by that time we will be able to organize an enjoyable and productive conference without any restrictions.
We very much regret that your abstract submissions have been in vain and are sorry that we could not realize our ambitious plans. We very much hope that we will be able to host you in Mainz at a later occasion.

GTOT will bridge the time until our next conference by other activities and events, which will be announced on our website http://www.gtot.org/.
